I am running to challenge the status quo and to ensure that our voices are heard in City Hall. My focus is on delivering meaningful legislation, advocating for affordable housing, protecting our open spaces, and holding the administration accountable. I will not be swayed by political pressures or special interests—I answer only to the residents. My goal is to bring real change, transparency, and progress to our neighborhood, just as I have done in my previous roles supporting community leaders. I am relentless because our community cannot afford anything less.

I am Vernon Richardson, a lifelong Jersey City resident with a deep commitment to my community. My journey has been shaped by my roles as an aide to Representative Maxine Waters, Senators, Daschle, Dorgan and Rockefeller, to Vice President Al Gore, to the late Councilman Michael Yun and later as an aide to the Mayors of both the City of Jersey City and New York City. These experiences taught me the importance of advocating for transparency, accountability, and institutional change in local government.
