My ability to listen and understand different viewpoints fosters a sense of community and inclusivity, which is essential in my work with the Jersey City Police Department and other organizations.

I am tenacious in my pursuit of helping others. Whether it’s through founding and leading organizations like Angels Care Home Healthcare or advocating for change as part of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, I remain committed to my goals. My tenacity drives me to overcome challenges and push forward, even in the face of adversity, ensuring that my efforts make a lasting impact.

As a leader and advocate, I am tough-skinned, able to handle criticism and challenges with resilience. This resilience is crucial in navigating the complexities of community service and advocacy. It allows me to maintain focus on my objectives, even when faced with opposition or skepticism, and to continue working tirelessly for the causes I believe in.

My identity as Tami Weaver-Henry is rooted in my faith, family, and commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of those around me. This foundation guides my actions and decisions, ensuring that I remain true to my values and purpose. I am running to serve you on the Jersey City Council.

Tami's Story
Tami Weaver-Henry, a wife, a mother, a seasoned healthcare professional and community leader, is running for a Council At-Large seat in Jersey City. With over 30 years of experience in the healthcare field, she is the owner and CEO of Angels Care Home Health and co-pastor of Greater Destiny Church.
Henry has also served as a Commissioner on the JC Environmental Board and chairs the Women’s Advisory Board, focusing on empowering women and addressing issues like gender inequity, social justice and insuring that every woman in Jersey City has a seat at the table.
Notably, Henry is not running to maintain the status quo; instead, she is challenging it by advocating for meaningful change and community-driven solutions.
